Description
The article deals with the proof of the existence of W-bosons. At CERN, the European Centre of Elementary Particle Research near Geneva super-proton-synchrotron experiments was used to try and prove the existence of W-bosons. At the beginning of 1983 both the detectors, UA-1 and UA-2, succeeded in discovering traces of bosons in the pre-calculated energy region of 80 GeV: the UA-1 detector provided clearer, and apparently adequate data to substantiate the existence of the W-bosons
