Physical, mechanical and damping properties of a high-strength medium-alloy steel
- 1. Kirovskij Politekhnicheskij Inst. (USSR)
Description
Data on mechanical, damping and other physical properties of the 34KhN3MF steel after various regimes of thermal treatment are presented. Analyzed is the interrelation of these properties with structural factors: content of residual austenite, carbide phase, their dislocation in matrix, size of martensite crystals, mobility of dislocation structure and magnetic domains. It is shown that high complex of mechanical and damping properties is achieved after double hardening and high tempering by the way of precipitation hardening of α-solid solution with special carbides and by the way of structure obtaining with relatively movable boundaries of magnetic domains
