Description
Synchrotron radiation (SR) based diagnostic beamlines for Indus-2 synchrotron radiation source have been designed, developed and commissioned to measure the transverse and longitudinal properties of the electron beam using the X-ray and visible portion of the SR respectively. The diagnostic beamlines consists of many components like wire beam profile monitor, primary mirror (to select visible light form SR), Neutral Density (ND) filter, staggered pair blade monitor (SPM), pinhole array, X-ray filters, safety shutter and interlocks, temperature and pressure at various points. A data acquisition and control system (DACS) has been designed and developed to control various beamline components and acquire signal from various measurement devices. A LabVIEW based graphical user interface (GUI) has been developed for online processing and measurement of various beam parameters. In this paper, the development of various hardware control interfaces and data acquisition system are presented. (author)
