Description
This document specifies a method for determining the apparent density and tap density of free-flowing uranium dioxide (UO2) powder used for pelletizing and sintering UO2 pellets as nuclear fuel. This method can be used for various types of UO2 powders, including grains, granules, spheres, or other types of particles. The method can also be applied to other fuel powders such as PuO2, ThO2, and powder blends such as UO2-PuO2 and UO2-Gd2O3. The responsible German standardization body is NA 062-07 FBR "Fachbereichsbeirat Kerntechnik und Strahlenschutz" in the DIN Standards Committee for Materials Testing (NMP).

Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der scheinbaren Dichte und Klopfdichte von frei fließendem Urandioxid (UO2)-Pulver, das zum Pelletieren und Sintern von UO2-Pellets als Kernbrennstoff verwendet wird, fest. Dieses Verfahren kann für verschiedene UO2-Pulvertypen verwendet werden, einschließlich Körner, Granulate, Kugeln oder andere Arten von Partikeln. Das Verfahren kann auch auf andere Kraftstoffpulver wie PuO2, ThO2 und Pulvermischungen wie UO2-PuO2 und UO2-Gd2O3 angewendet werden.
