Calculation of effective doses for external photons to human body with Monte Carlo method

Description
This paper describes the calculation of effective doses for external photons to human body with Monte Carlo method (MCNP4C code). In order to compare with ICRP No. 74 Publication, the calculation has considered 20 incident energies between 0.02 MeV and 10 MeV. This calculation has also considered two incident photon directions: antero-posterior (AP) and postero-anterior (PA). Comparison of the calculated results shown that the results calculated by MCNP4C considerably coincide that from ICRP No. 74 Publication. (authors)
