Dynamics of fluctuations in very excited nuclear systems
Description
Heavy-ion collisions are unique tools to study the nucleus limits of stability; within the past ten years, transport models based on Boltzmann-like equations have been very successful in describing the average dynamics of the collisions. This paper discusses how such models can be extended to treat the dynamics of fluctuations and can give access either to the dispersion of collective variables around their average or to the density fluctuations (in the bulk or at the surface) leading to the nuclear disassembly
