Der Autor berichtet ueber seine frueheren Arbeiten zum Higgs-Mechanismus und fuegt einige neue Ergebnisse hinzu. Er erwaehnt die hauptsaechlich von K.R. Ito vorgenommene Anwendung seiner Arbeiten auf das Schwinger-Modell. Hauptthemen der Arbeit sind das Goldstone-Theorem und der Schwinger-Mechanismus. (BMS/AK)
