Description
The UA1 Collaboration has seen striking monojet events, and events consistent with a W->tanti b interpretation. We investigate whether supersymmetric scenarios invented to explain the monojet events can also explain the top candidate events. This is found to occur only for the squark pair production scenario. In a minimal N=1 supergravity model, both events occur only if parameters of the theory are chosen to be in certain ranges. Further implications and predictions are made. (orig.)
