Description

Trialkylphosphine oxide (TRPO) in cyclohexane was used as an extractant to study the feasibility of recovery of thorium from laboratory waste generated, while estimating thorium using concentrated phosphoric acid. A few parameters such as the effects of concentration of nitric acid, sodium nitrate, TRPO and sulphuric acid strippant were studied and are discussed. (author)
