Description

During beam transport, the beam may be deviated from the center of the beam line axis for a variety of reasons. In order to improve transport efficiency of the beam transport system, it is necessary to align the beam onto the ion-optical-axis of the beam line. An alignment section containing a pair of steering magnets, a quadrupole and a profile grid is introduced. It is simpler, less expensive and more efficient than other ways
