Production and properties of alloys based on chromium disilicide and alkaline earth element hexaborides

Description

The thermoelectrical properties of alloys based upon chromium disilicide Crsub(1-x)Msub(x)Sisub(2) (M is Fe, Co, Ni) and upon barium hexaboride (Basub(1-x)Smsub(x))Bsub(6) in the temperature range from 300 to 1000 K are presented. The mechanism of the alloy property variation depending upon their composition is analyzed. It is shown that the changes in electric conductivity and thermoelectricity of the alloys with composition are due to the variation in concentration and mobility of charge carriers
