Analysis of muscle biopsies for sodium, chlorine, potassium and phosphorus by neutron activation
- 1. Hammersmith Hospital, London (UK). M.R.C. Cyclotron Unit
Description
Techniques have been developed for measuring the Na, Cl, K and P content of muscle samples by neutron activation analysis. The methods have been shown to be sufficiently accurate for measuring muscle samples as obtained by needle biopsy. This technique provides a useful tool for determining the electrolyte content of skeletal muscle. (author)
