Nuclear safety review 1994. Part D of the IAEA Yearbook 1994

The Nuclear Safety Review 1994 focuses on the work of the world nuclear community in establishing greater international co-operation on safety. An increasingly important element of such co-operation is the provision of peer review services, and this publication describes the experience gained in this area during the past year. In addition to this major theme of international co-operation, the Nuclear Safety Review 1994 covers other aspects of nuclear and radiation safety, including events of significance around the world, and highlights of the IAEA programme. The review ends articles prepared by experts outside the IAEA on the following subjects: safety research for future light water reactors; recent controversial cases of health consequences from radiation exposures; potential radiological consequences of THORP; and the UNSCEAR 1993 Report.
