Arguments for a possible integral CANDU reactor

Description

In this work several arguments in favour of a closed fuel cycle comprising a CANDU reactor and a fuel reprocessing unit at the NPP site are presented. The possibility to meet the safeguard requirements and to avoid the cost of special containers and transportation equipment for the burnt fuel to the reprocessing plant site are discussed in terms of an optimization problem.
