Design of emergency cooling water system for the fuel test loop

  • 1. Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, Taejon (Korea, Republic of)

Description

The design of emergency cooling water system for the fuel test loop was completed in accordance with the general design criteria used for commercial power plants. The detail design requirement and system description were described. In order to ensure the performance of emergency cooling water system, safety analyses have been carried out with the realistic thermal hydraulic code of MARS for anticipated operational occurrences and design basis accidents. The results indicate that the functions of the emergency cooling water system are appropriate for all the design basis events and the present test fuel design
