Properties of carbon-carbon composition materials of the type of syntactic foams
Description
A study has been made of the properties of carbon syntactic foam samples differing in their volume weight. The binding and compression strength properties, elasticity modulus, electric resistance, thermal expansion coefficient have been found to be exponentially dependent on the general sample porosity; in the case of the low-temperature neutron irradiation the strength properties show an increase, the electric resistance characteristics remain unaffected; radiation deformation whose magnitude is proportional to the thermal expansion coefficient shows up through sample compression
