Quantitative investigations to assess the radiation exposure of patients subjected to X-ray diagnosis
Description
The contributions of the single parameters to the radiation exposure of patients in X-ray examinations on a special X-ray apparatus were determined from measurements on phantoms. By means of generalizations, it was possible to derive approximation formulae for pictures and fluoroscopic examinations which enable an assessment of the exposure to skin and organs for X-ray investigations on any apparatus. The method has been sucassfully tested by practical examples. (orig.)

Aus Messungen an Phantomen wurden die Beitraege der einzelnen Parameter zur Strahlenbelastung des Patienten bei Roentgenuntersuchungen an einem speziellen Roentgengeraet ermittelt. Durch Verallgemeinerungen konnten fuer Aufnahmen und Durchleuchtungen Naeherungsformeln abgeleitet werden, die fuer Roentgenuntersuchungen an beliebigen Geraeten eine Abschaetzung der Oberflaechen- und Organbelastungen gestatten.
