Description
The hard magnetic properties of the annealed Fe72.8Co4.7Nd4B18.5 alloy are reported. Thermomagnetic data and differential thermal analysis curves are given. The crystallization temperature is about 835 K and the Curie temperature is found to be 630 K. The curves of temperature dependence of saturation magnetization show three magnetic transitions due to Nd2(Fe, Co)14B, (Fe, Co)3B, and α-(Fe, Co) magnetic phases. The intrinsic coercivities as a function of annealing temperature and the room temperature hysteresis loop measured in a field of 60 kOe are drawn. Results indicate that the material is a suitable candidate for application in inexpensive bonded magnets
