Calculation of scattering states in the n3H system on the basis of equations for the Yakubovsky components in the configuration space

Description

A method for solving equations for the Yakubovsky components in the configuration space for low-energy scattering in the n3H system is proposed. The method is based on the expansion of the Yakubovsky components in the basis formed by Faddeev's components of the eigenfunctions of the Hamiltonians of two-cluster subsystems. This expansion makes it possible to reduce the initial equations to equations for functions depending only on intercluster coordinates. The resulting equations are used to solve the problem of n3H scattering with the MT I - III potential for NN interaction. Low-energy phase shifts and scattering lengths are calculated. The values obtained for the scattering lengths for n3H interaction (0a=4.0 fm and 3a = 3.6 fm) are in good agreement with experimental data and the results of other calculations. 34 refs., 8 figs., 3 tabs
