Description
Presented is the discussion of economical and practical aspects of personal monitoring of personnel in the GDR for gamma and X-ray irradiation. Four groups of persons are considered depending on the degree of radiation risk. Three main variants of personnel monitoring with various periodes between procedures are described. Labour requirements and economical expenses are comparatively analyzed for three following systems of personnel monitoring: photographic film dosimetry; completely automatized thermoluminescent dosimetry; partially automatized thermoluminescent dosimetry. It included that nowdays partially automatized thermoluminescent dosimetry with longterm control of 70% of all persons under monitoring is the most economical method
