Recent technology trend in PWR turbine plant
- 1. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., Takasago, Hyogo (Japan). Takasago Works
Description
Eleven Mitsubishi PWR turbine geneaator units have been put into commercial operation since Mihama No.1 unit was put into service in 1970. Various design improvement aspects based on the operating experience of the above units and new technology have been applied to the units now in the construction, manufacturing and design stages, in order to enhance the reliability of PWR and to meet the latest users' requirements. This paper describes briefly those design improvements to turbines, generators, heat exchangers, pumps and other equipment composing the PWR secondary system. (author)
