Round robin tests ''waste water from nuclear installations''

  • 1. Bundesamt fuer Strahlenschutz, Berlin (Germany)

Description

For 35 years round robin tests ''Waste water from nuclear installations'' have been carried out in collaboration with the Physical Technical Federal Office in Germany. The participation is an important tool of external quality assurance for the laboratories of nuclear installations and commissioned official experts. The results demonstrate the good praxis in laboratories and the use of modern methods for the determination of activity concentrations of radio nuclides in waste water samples of nuclear installations. To compare measurements, which are carrying out in context of the ''Surveillance of radioactive emissions from nuclear power plants'', the reproducibility from the statistical analysis of the annual round robin tests is used for evaluation of conformability of analysis values.
