Kinetics of the low temperature deamination of radicals in l-alanine and α-aminoisobutyric acid
Creators
Description
The rate constants for the deamination of radicals in X-irradiated L-alanine and α-aminoisobutyric acid have been determined at temperatures around 150°K. The reactions are first-order with activation energies of 7.5 and 14.1 kcal/mole, respectively, and pre-exponential factors 1× 109sec−1 and 3× 1016sec−1, respectively.
