Operating experience and materials testing of CPS rods having been in service in BOR-60 reactor from 1969 till 1994
Description
The BOR-60 reactor control system is described. Tests were performed for scram rods, automatic regulating rods, shim rods. Boron carbide europium oxide a chromium diboride-tantalum diboride alloy were used as absorbers. Protective tubes of rods and absorbing element cans were manufactured of steels 0Kh18N10T and Kh16N15M3B respectively. Based on the study of microstructure, mechanical properties and dimensional stability of absorbing and structural materials it is concluded about operational capability of rods of various design

Описана система регулирования реактора БОР-60. Испытаны стержни аварийной защиты, автоматического регулирования, компенсаций выгорания и компенсаций температурных и мощностных эффектов реактивности. В качестве поглощающего материала применяли карбид бора, оксид европия, сплав диборида хрома с диборидом тантала. Чехлы стержней и оболочки поглощающих элементов выполнены соответственно из сталей 0Х18Н10Т и Х16Н15М3Б. На основе исследования микроструктуры, механических свойств и размерной стабильности сделан вывод о работоспособности стержней различных конструкцийAdditional details
