Measurement of cross sections producing short-lived nuclei by 14 MeV neutron. Br, Te, Dy, Ho, Yb

  • 1. Nagoya Univ. (Japan)

Description

Nine neutron activation cross sections producing the nuclei with half-lives between 2 min and 57 min have been measured at energy range between 13.4 and 14.9 MeV for Br, Te, Dy, Ho, Yb. The cross sections of 81Br(n,p)81mSe, 128Te(n,p)128mSb, 128Te(n,α)125mSn, 164Dy(n,p)164Tb, 165Ho(n,α)162Tb, 176Yb(n,p)176Tm were newly obtained at the six energy points between 13.4-14.9 MeV, although the previous results have been obtained at one energy point. 79Br(n,2n)78Br, 164Dy(n,p)164Tb are compared with evaluated data of JENDL-3.2. The evaluations for these reactions agree reasonably well with experimental results. The cross sections of (n,p) reaction are compared with systematics by Kasugai et. al. The systematics agrees with experimental results. (author)
