Atomic and nuclear resonant excitation using FRS-SIS GSI beams

Description

The paper presents the estimation results of atomic and nuclear resonance coherent excitation (RCE) values of relativistic hydrogen-like heavy ions and nuclei within the oriented crystals for GSI energies. Nuclear RCE may be used in nuclear spectroscopy as a method of a selective excitation of chosen nuclear levels within relativistic nuclei beam under strong suppression of central nucleus-nuclear collisions at channeling in the oriented crystal. 7 refs
