National radon action plan of the Slovak Republic

The National Radon Action Plan of the Slovak Republic for the years 2022 to 2026 was developed by the Office of Public Health of the Slovak Republic in cooperation with the relevant regional public health offices, which pursuant to Act no. 87/2018 Coll. on radiation protection and on amendments and additions to certain laws, there is an obligation to regulate radon exposure in residential premises and workplaces. Its aim is to implement strategies to manage the long-term risks caused by radon exposure in living spaces and in the workplace, based on evidence of exposure that cannot be neglected from the point of view of radiation protection, by adopting measures to reduce the risks due to radon exposure and to determine and assessment of existing radiation situations.
