ARIANE: a system to facilitate scientific programming

A very great development, maintenance and exploitation facility of the scientific programmes is enabled at the present time by ARIANE system. Principal computing problems against which uses and big codes designers are coming up can be resolved with it. The different functions of ARIANE system are presented; some performances are quoted. ARIANE on IBM computer working under OS/VS1 or VS2 system and on Cray-1 computer

Abstract (French)

Le systeme ARIANE permet actuellement une tres grande facilite de developpement, de maintenance et d'exploitation des programmes scientifiques. Il permet de resoudre les principaux problemes d'ordre informatique auxquels se heurtent les utilisateurs et les concepteurs de gros codes. Apres avoir presente les differentes fonctions du systeme ARIANE, nous en citerons quelques performances. ARIANE fonctionne sur ordinateur IBM travaillant sous systeme OS/VS1 ou VS2 et sur l'ordinateur CRAY 1
