Carbon influence on the spontaneous recombination of the bivacancy with the intrinsic interstitial atom in alpha-Fe

Description

Zones of spontaneous recombination of the bivacancy with the intrinsic interstitial dumbbell (110) are calculated by molecular dynamics method with Johnson potential application. Influence of carbon, placed in the bivacancy centre, on zone size is evaluated. It is established, that carbon presence, as opposed to helium, leads to reduction of spontaneous recombination zone of bivacancy with intrinsic interstitial atom zone radii without carbon impurities are equal to 1.15 nm, with impurity - 1.036 nm. The authors recommend to use the obtained values of spontaneous recombination radii as evaluation parameters in theoretical consideration of radiation-stimulated metal deformation
