Retained austenite in Fe-Cr ferritic alloy

Description

The influence of air on phase α-γ transformations in a ferritic alloy Kh15 in an enclosed volume is under study. It is shown that during heat treatment at 1000 deg C the air (0.001-0.1 MPa) affects the chemical composition of α - solid solution by chromium and nitrogen and so promotes the phase transformation. The nitrogen introduction into the alloy is accompanied by an increase of a gamma-Fe lattice parameter and results in the stabilization of a high-temperature gamma-phase
