The ICRR – Inverse Count Rate Ratio 1/M - Approach to criticality Re actor
Creators
Description
Reactivity Management is one of the most relevants topics related with the reactor operation on a nuclear power plant, and to reach the reactor criticality require to spread out actions due to positive reactivity insertion. The ICRR – Inverse Count Rate Ratio 1/M is a specific tool developed by Reactor Engineering and Nuclear Safeguards of Ascó NPP and implemented at the Plant Computer to help the operator during the reactor start-up process, providing information about the evolution of neutron population and an estimation of the critical conditions depending of the way to reach the criticality, by rod withdraw or RCS dilution.
