Description

The algorithm for computer estimation of stresses and strains in the region of longitudinal welds of cylindrical shells has been calculated during the weld realization and under the following force loading of the shell. The method of the successive tracing of the elastic-plastic deformation development in the shell during the welding heating and the following force loading forms the basis of the algorithm. Calculation results obtained using the above algorithm are presented for pipes of the 1Kh2M steel. In the longitudinal weld welding the residual stress state far from free butts is practically one-dimensional. The residual longitudinal stresses in a pipe wall may affect noticeably the appearance of the wall plastic flow under the loading by internal pressure. The pipe loading untill the plastic flow appearance in the region of residual compression stresses after reloading results in the reduce of tensile residual stresses in the weld zone moreover the elastic contraction of this zone takes place
