Traps for storing charged particles and antiparticles in high precision experiments

Description
The storage and confinement of charged particles and anti-particles (electrons, positrons, ions) in open traps and ring accumulators of various designs are considered. Experiments on positron storage in the Penning-Malmberg-Surko trap at the Low-Energy Particle Toroidal Accumulator (LEPTA) are described in detail.

Рассмотрено накопление и удержание заряженных частиц и античастиц (электронов, позитронов, ионов) в открытых ловушках различных конструкций. Подробно описываются эксперименты и методики по накоплению позитронов в ловушке Пеннинга-Малмберга-Сурко установки LEPTA (Low-Energy Particle Toroidal Accumulator) для фундаментальных исследований по физике экзотических атомов и антивещества.Additional details
