Description

At the end of 2007, the Dutch government decided to implement a road pricing scheme in the Netherlands, called 'Anders Betalen voor Mobiliteit' (Paying differently for mobility). Major goal is to start with a full operational system in 2016 in which every car user will pay a tariff per driven kilometre. Starting point is that for the average car user, the car mobility will not be more or less expensive. To set up a road pricing scheme a large amount of data on the Dutch car fleet is required. Ecorys compiled such data. This report is a second opinion of the Ecorys report.

Abstract (Dutch)

De projectorganisatie Anders Betalen voor Mobiliteit van het Ministerie van Verkeer en Waterstaat werkt aan de realisatie van een nieuw systeem waarbij weggebruikers betalen voor het gebruik, in plaats van het bezit, van een voertuig. De projectorganisatie ontwikkelt hiervoor een tariefstructuur met tarieven per gereden kilometer. Voor het opstellen van de tariefstructuur is een groot aantal basisgegevens nodig over het Nederlandse autopark. Door Ecorys is een groot aantal cijfers op een rij gezet. Dit rapport bevat een second opinion bij het onderzoek van Ecorys.
