Radiochemical separation of Hg, In(Cd), Tc(Mo), Cu, Zn and As after preconcentration from water

  • 1. Inst. of Nuclear Chemistry and Engineering, Warsaw (Poland)

Description

Extractive methods of radiochemical separation of Hg, In(Cd), Tc(Mo), Cu, Zn and As have been developed. The elaborated methods will be applied in activation analysis of trace elements in water. The trace elements are preconcentrated from water by coprecipitation with thionalide at pH 9 (Cu, Cd, Hg, Zn) and from 1N HCl (As, Hg) or by ion exchange on Dowex 1x2 (8-hydroxyquinoline-5-sulphonic acid) at pH 7 (Hg, Cd, Mo, Cu, Zu).
