On electron scattering on nuclei with accounting for second Born approximation
Description
Contribution to the cross section of scattering of the second Born approximation, caused by interference of electric Coulomb and magnetic dipole interactions, is calculated. Consideration is conducted within the frames of shell model of light nuclei, primary attention is paid to backward scattering (theta=180 deg). For not very high energies of descending electrons (up to 100 MeV) obtained are approximate expressions for initial correction, equivalent to approximating gauss form of charge distribution and magnetism to jukav distribution. The formulae obtained show that contribution of interference members approximately (Zexμsub(I)sup(2)) in the considered approximation, increases contribution from pure magnetic interference members approximately (μsub//(I)sup(3)) obtained before. Besides, they show that account of the second Born approximation in the cross section of Coulomb and magnetic-dipole scattering of high-energy electrons (E>>me) with nuclei does not result in new polarization effects as compared with the first Born approximation
