Nonlinear stabilization of modulation instability

Present article of book is devoted to nonlinear stabilization of modulation instability. The process of nonlinear stabilization of modulation instability is considered. More exact dynamic equations are obtained which take into account higher order electron nonlinearities. On basis of these equation nonlinear restrictions on development of modulation perturbations are found which indicate that the Langmuir collapse is forbidden. (author)
