Effects of OH groups on optical parameters of irradiated fused silica
Creators
Description
Measurements have been made on the optical parameters of irradiated KV fused silica with various OH contents. The optical density increases as the OH group content falls on γ irradiation at 298 K; at 77 K and in pulse electron irradiation at 298 or 77 K, there is no effect from the OH concentration on the optical parameters. The nature of the color centers is considered
