Serial radionuclide left ejection fraction determination can provide, early occurence of Adriamycin cardiotoxicity, prior to clinical signs of left ventricular dysfunction. High risk patients for development of congestive heart failure can be detected. Based upon the results obtained after the second course of chemotherapy, guidelines and criteria for prediction of the appropriate time for drug discontinuation can be used
