Experimental diagnosis of plasma electron density with an X-ray laser probe

  • 1. Shanghai Institute of Laser Plasma, P.O.Box 800-229, Shanghai, 201800 (China)

Description

An application demonstration of diagnosing electron density gradient distributions of CH laser-plasma by x-ray laser was reported. Using an saturated Ni-like Ag x-ray laser as the probe beam and the moire deflection method, A legible moire deflectogram including the plasma electron density information was recorded. Analysis of the deflectogram gave a peak electron density of 1.1x1021cm-3, and this value had been higher than the critical density
