On the formation of ion acoustic double layers

Description
A theoretical model of the existence of ion acoustic double layers in a plasma with electron drift velocity less than the electron thermal speed which has already been observed experimentally and in numerical simulation, has been presented in this paper. The velocity and thickness of these double layers have been calculated. (author)
