Description
The optical correlation technique for remote measurement of the velocity and droplet size distribution in droplet flows is discussed based on the detection of scattered laser light intensity correlations. This technique can be used for the analysis of flows with the mean particle size more than tenth fractions of a millimeter and densities producing single light scattering. The method discussed was applied to the velocity and droplet size measurements of the droplet flow for the nozzle used in cooling towers
