Excited states above the 6+ isomer in 140Ce

Description
An in-beam study of excited states in 140Ce revealed 16 new levels of positive and negative parity on top of the 6+ isomer. The excitation energies of these states are well reproduced by diagonalizing the same Hamiltonian in two model spaces, a π=+1 shell-model basis and a π=-1 particle-core coupling basis. (orig.)
