Parametric instabilities: Evaluation of thresholds accounting for ion-ion collisions

Description
The linear ion susceptibility is evaluated for the cases of either weak or strong ion-ion collisions, starting from a Fokker--Planck collision term. The thresholds of the plasmon-phonon parametric instabilities are then computed under conditions of interest for the laser plasma-heating experiments. The values obtained are significantly lower than those previously published
