'Participative' projects of production of renewable energies: an emerging dynamics to be supported. Ademe and You, Strategic Newsletter Nr 50
Description
This publication is based on two studies on the territorial integration of 'participative' projects of renewable energies, and on the regulatory framework which is applicable to a participative financing of renewable energies. While describing the structure of a participative financing, it first describes how such projects can be a lever to channel household savings towards energy transition. It notices the emergence of these practices in France and proposes a brief overview of the situation and analysis of these projects. It outlines that some regulatory obstacles still remain but could be overcome in the future thanks to some regimes introduced by the law on energy transition. It outlines the central role of the territorial collectivity, the necessity to ensure awareness of project holders, the necessity of dialogue, and of a sustained support of networks specialised in such projects.
