Simulation of the spatial gravitational potential of stellar systems

Description

The generalized model of the regular gravitational field of galaxies is described. The form of equipotential surfaces and the law of the potential variation are suggested. In particular, the model includes Miyamoto, Nagai and Kuzmin ones. It generalizes a number of other models for the spatial case. Kinematical and dynamical characteristics of the model and the spatial mass distribution are considered. They are found to be rather plausible. The role of model parameters is shown. Some restrictions on the parameters are derived from the condition of the positivity of the space density
