HTR advancement in Japan, in the Soviet Union and in other countries
Description
In the Federal Republic of Germany, the USA, Japan and the Soviet Union the development of high-temperature reaktors currently takes place within the scope of independent programs aiming at the construction of reactors. Further specific work associated with HTR development is performed in Switzerland, Austria, France and the People's Republic of China. In addition there is a working group at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at Vienna in which further countries look with interest at the development of the technology (Belgium, the U.K., Italy, Poland, Sweden). The state and orientation of the programs in the Federal Republic and the USA is reported elsewhere (see also IAEA paper ''Gas Cooled High Temperature Reactors and their Applications'' at the ''International Conference on Nuclear Power Experience'', Vienna, Sept. 13 to 17, 1982). Die Entwicklung von Hochtemperaturreaktoren wird zur Zeit in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, den USA, in Japan und der Sowjetunion in eigenstaendigen, d.h. auf den Bau von Reaktoren hinzielenden Programmen betrieben. Weitere HTR-spezifische Entwicklungsarbeiten werden in der Schweiz, in Oesterreich, in Frankreich und in der Volksrepublik China durchgefuehrt. Darueber hinaus gibt es bei der Internationalen Atomenergie-Behoerde (IAEA) in Wien einen Arbeitskreis ''Gasgekuehlte Reaktoren'', in dem weitere Laender die Entwicklung der Technologie mit Interesse verfolgen (Belgien, England, Italien, Polen, Schweden).
