Technically upgraded BWR instrumentation lances reduce exposure dose to service personnel
- 1. AREVA NP GmbH, Technical Center, Fertigung Karlstein, Karlstein am Main (Germany)
- 2. Vattenfall Europe Nuclear Energy GmbH, Hamburg (Germany)
Description
Using the case of modern in-core instrumentation employed in the Kruemmel boiling water reactor the authors show how existing nuclear technology products can be advanced by specific feedback of experience from plant operation and revision activities, and improved upon by technical measures so that the ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) principle is complied with in an exemplary way.
