Gamow-Teller beta decay of even-even nuclei close to the doubly magic nucleus 100Sn

Description
As an example of new experimental data on GT transitions obtained recently at GSI and CERN, we present the spectroscopic studies of 98Pd. The resulting decay scheme is discussed. The GT-strength distribution and summed GT-strength values BGT obtained for all studied decays of even-even nuclei in the 100Sn region, are compared to theoretical predictions. (orig./HSI)
