Extraction of lanthanides by macrocyclic compounds

Description
The distribution coefficient (D) of Y-88, La-140, Ce-144, Sm-153, Eu-152, Gd-153, Tb-160, Dy-165, Ho-166, Yb-169-170 and Tm-170 were determined using the extraction system BD 18 C6-Picric acid Nitrobenzene / H2O-Picric acid-Lithium Picrate. The extraction system has been chosen after studying the relation between D and the concentration of DB 18 C6, Picric acid and Lithium Picrate in addition to the pH. Constant pH value were obtained after extraction
